LOS ANGELES Adidas Ultra Boost Parley UK Sale , Oct. 17 (Xinhua) -- According to an online poll conducted by local media in Salt Lake City on Tuesday, 90 percent of the residents favor the city hosting the Olympic Winter Games again in 2026 or 2030.

666 voters took part in the poll conducted by KUTV 2, just one day after a group of local business, community and elected state leaders announced the formation of an official OlympicParalympic Exploratory Committee (OEC), a likely step toward launching a bid for a second Olympics in the state capital of Utah.

It is only two days after Innsbruck voters rejected a bid from the Austrian city and three days after the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) claimed that they would pursue a Winter Games for the country and wanted to be part of any upcoming discussions.

Since Reno-Tahoe in Nevada and Denver Adidas Ultra Boost 3.0 UK Sale , the state capital of Colorado, both have showed interest in bidding for the Games, the USOC said they would begin discussing the organization of a domestic selection process and make final decision before next March.

According to the regulation of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), who launched the bid process for 2026 Olympic Winter Games last month, the application deadline for the Games is March 31 of 2018 with the final selection scheduled for September 2019.

Sion in Switzerland and Calgary in Canada are other potential bidders Adidas Ultra Boost Womens UK Sale , along with Almaty in Kazakhstan, Stockholm in Sweden and Sapporo in Japan.

If Salt Lake City was awarded the 2026 Olympic Winter Games, having previously hosted the Games in 2002, the city would welcome the Games back to the U.S. before Los Angeles, who has been selected to host its third Olympic Games in 2028.

ATHENS, Dec. 8 (Xinhua) -- Greek government has decided to hold the country's presidential election next week to put an end to political uncertainty, it was announced on Monday.

Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Evangelos Venizelos have consulted with outgoing President of the Hellenic Republic Karolos Papoulias for their decision to bring forward by two months the vote in the assembly, the government spokeswoman Sophia Voultepsi said in a written statement Monday.

The two ruling coalition partners have submitted an official request to parliament speaker Vangelis Meimarakis to accelerate the process Adidas Ultra Boost Grey UK Sale , and the first round of vote will be held on Dec. 17, the statement stressed.

Incumbent 85-year old Papoulias' term expires in early March. Under the Greek Constitution the election of his successor should be set a month earlier the latest.

The conservative premier and his socialist coalition partner in a surprise move accelerated the procedure in order to boost the country's position in negotiations with the European Union and International Monetary Fund lenders over cooperation after the end of the Greek bailout program launched in May 2010.

The government had wanted to declare exit from the bailout this December, but due to delays in the final review of the program a two-month extension of the bailout was announced on Monday after a Eurogroup meeting in Brussels.

Within minutes came the Greek government's announcement on the date of the presidential election. The government aims to reach the table of talks with creditors in early January with a clear message of political stability, Voultepsi explained on Monday.

Under the Greek Constitution, the President of the Hellenic Republic is elected by a majority of at least 180 votes in the 300-seat assembly.

The rule was adopted in an effort to ensure that the head of state who holds a ceremonial role would enjoy broad support to represent all the Greek people. But in several cases in recent years opposition parties have used the process in an attempt to force snap elections.

In the first and second rounds Adidas Ultra Boost White UK Sale , which according to the government's time schedule will be conducted on Dec. 17 and Dec. 23, a candidate must receive a two-thirds majority (200 votes). In the final third round which is set on Dec. 29 he or she must garner 180 votes (three-fifths majority).

Otherwise the parliament is dissolved in 10 days and national elections are called for a month later. Then the next president is elected by the new assembly.

Samaras' ruling coalition today holds 155 seats in the current parliament. According to political analysts in Athens the government believes that its candidate will have the backing of the two dozens of independent MPs if not the support of entire opposition parties.
